About Anthony
Anthony Ingargiola holds a Masters in Government Administration (MGA) from the prestigious Fels Institute of Government at The University of Pennsylvania. His government experience and academic achievement made Anthony a perfect fit at the Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority (PICA) where he served as Senior Analyst and Director of Capitol Analysis and Operations beginning in spring of 1997. Anthony has worked diligently to become an integral part of our civic, government and community life since arriving in Philadelphia in 1991. During his college years, Anthony was a leader in student government and student lead organizations like Nevadan's for Choice, Veterans Against the Gulf War (First Gulf War), and as a staffer for MTV's "Rock The Vote", voter rights campaign during the 1992 Presidential Primary in New Hampshire. In 1991, Anthony came to Philadelphia as a staff member of Ed Rendell's first successful mayoral campaign. Soon after, Anthony began a successful career in government, public service and private sector leadership. While working with Mayor Ed Rendell, Anthony specialized in providing constituent services. Upon leaving the Rendell Administration, Anthony advised and managed city, regional and state-wide candidates for office, elected officials, labor organizations and public interest groups including Philadelphia City Council, the Fraternal Order of Transit Police and most recently the successful November, 2009 General Election of Democratic District Attorney, Seth Williams. Anthony has also served as Director of Economic Development for the non-profit Southwest Community Development Corporation, focusing on revitalizing the commercial corridor along Woodland Avenue. In January of 2010, Anthony joined P1 Consulting, a collective of independent advocates and consultants, as Managing Director, where he assists non-profits, media organizations, political parties, political campaigns, interest groups, community organizations, small businesses and individuals. Anthony's nearly two decades of volunteer/community service in Philadelphia include membership in the Fairmount Civic Association, support of the Fairmount Community Development Corporation, President Board member and general member of the Friends of Eastern State Penitentiary Park, and Treasurer of the Friends Childcare Center. Anthony is also a parent leader at Bache-Martin Elementary School, a neighborhood public school where his son, Dante and daughter, Francesca are enrolled. Anthony Lives in Fairmount and is raising his children with their mother, Heidi Siegel.
